Man Apprehended After Beating Woman With Handgun And Holding Newborn Baby Upside Down By Its Foot

A Pennsylvania man has been arrested for physically assaulting a woman and risking the life of a newborn in Morgantown.

Doryian Williams, 25, of Braddock, Pennsylvania, allegedly seized the victim’s newborn daughter and slammed her on the bed on May 12.

Williams then threw the adult victim to the ground and began choking her, according to the criminal complaint.

According to police, after strangling the woman, Williams took a revolver and began yelling at her before repeatedly beating her in the back of the head with it.

The victim managed to flee and ran to a neighbor’s house to notify the police.

Williams is being jailed at North Central Regional Jail on a $75,000 bond after being charged with strangulation, child abuse, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.
