A man was arrested, and five people were rescued after a human trafficking operation in Mississippi, according to Attorney General Lynn Fitch.
Operation 806 led to Randy Poindexter’s arrest for allegedly trafficking five people.
“My office is committed to taking criminals who traffic people off the streets and equally committed to setting victims on the road to recovery,” said Attorney General Fitch. “We are grateful to our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners who worked with us on Operation 806 and who are a part of our task force network.”
According to the attorney general, the victims who were retrieved during this operation received treatment and services.
On May 1, investigators from the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office collaborated with federal, state, and local law enforcement to execute two search warrants, resulting in the arrest and retrieval of the victims.
