A Mexican national who lives in Plano has been sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for immigration violations, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs.
Ana Maria Villa-Flores, 42, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport and shelter aliens.
In January 2022, officials found 24 illegal aliens on one of Villa-Flores’ estates. According to court filings, she managed the smuggling of undocumented immigrants from Mexico to the United States, including hiring drivers and coordinating operations.
The males were reportedly told to take down their pants to avoid escape. The inquiry found that Villa-Flores was involved in the smuggling of roughly 254 illegal aliens.
In 2023, Villa-Flores faced prosecution in the Western District of Texas for similar operations, which resulted in a four-year federal prison sentence for smuggling approximately 124 illegal immigrants. This lawsuit is part of Operation Take Back America, a Department of Justice campaign to combat illegal immigration and multinational criminal organizations.
Homeland Security Investigations in Dallas and El Paso, along with the Plano Police Department, conducted the investigation, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Tracey Batson prosecuted the case.
