Missing Upstate New York Man Discovered Dead In Wild Forest

The desperate search for a missing man from Upstate New York ended in tragedy.

In its most recent update in the DEC Forest Rangers – Week in Review, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has confirmed that forest rangers discovered the lifeless body of a missing man.

Rotterdam, New York Man Goes Missing

On January 2nd, shortly before 1 p.m., the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office reached out to the New York State DEC for assistance in locating a man who had gone missing.

The family of a 44-year-old man from Rotterdam, New York has reported him missing, expressing deep concern for his well-being, as stated by the DEC.

Missing Man’s Car Found Near Jessup Bridge

New York State Police discovered the man’s vehicle on New York 30, positioned just west of the Jessup Bridge, during their search.

DEC forest rangers Caswell, Hamm, and O’Connell, along with deputies from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, stumbled upon footprints in close proximity to the vehicle.

Missing Man Found Dead In Town of Lake Pleasant, Hamilton County

First responders diligently followed the trail of footprints, eventually leading them to the lifeless body of the unnamed missing man in the Jessup River Wild Forest at approximately 3:15 p.m.

He transported the subject to the coroner. Additional information was not provided.

Several children from across the Empire State have recently gone missing.
