A Mississippi State Trooper has been arrested and is currently on leave from his position.
Zachary Reshad McCroy has been charged with sexual battery, as reported by the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department.
Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones announced that McCroy has been taken into custody and has been granted a $100,000 bond. The specific details of the accusations against McCroy have not been revealed at this time. However, Bailey Martin, the Department of Public Safety spokesperson, referred to the charge as a “serious allegation.”
Currently, McCroy is wearing a GPS monitor.
In 2024, McCroy received the prestigious title of “Top Cop” in Troop C of the Jackson area.
