A Missouri couple struck gold when they walked away $100,000 richer, all thanks to a Scratchers prize they purchased at a QuikTrip located on 8011 State Line Road in Kansas City.

As they were heading home, a couple from out of state decided to make a quick stop at QuikTrip. During their visit, they went ahead and purchased several Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets.

Taylor Swift generously donates $250,000 to a nonprofit organization in Kansas City.

“My husband and I were scratching the tickets together,” the winner recalled. “This was the last one, and he handed it to me, saying, ‘Here. You scratch this one!'”

After scratching the $5 “King of Spades” ticket, the couple was stunned to discover that she had won the top prize of $100,000.

She exclaimed, “We couldn’t believe it was real so we kept checking!”

Players of the game “King of Spades” have already claimed more than $7.1 million in prizes since its release. However, there are still a staggering $11.9 million in unclaimed prizes waiting to be won. Among these are three additional $100,000 prizes and five $20,000 prizes.

In the fiscal year 2024, players in Jackson County experienced tremendous success, winning an astounding $109.8 million in prizes from the Missouri Lottery. The hardworking retailers in the county also reaped the benefits, receiving over $9.8 million in commissions and bonuses. Furthermore, the education programs in Jackson County received a significant boost, with more than $22 million in Lottery proceeds dedicated to supporting these vital initiatives.
