A man from Missouri is facing charges for his involvement in a series of thefts from Home Depot stores across multiple states.

Jason W. Beach, a 51-year-old resident of Elsberry, has been charged in connection with a series of thefts at various Home Depots across multiple states. This information was revealed in the Platte County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, Dec. 27.

According to a probable cause statement filed by the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department, an off-duty officer was informed about a theft on November 13, 2024. The theft had taken place two days prior, and a Home Depot asset protection employee reported that Beach had stolen tools worth nearly $300 from the Kansas City location at 8900 NW Skyview Ave.

Law enforcement officials said that when Beach was intercepted in the store and asked to return the tools, he refused, leading to his arrest.

During the investigation, the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) discovered that Beach had been arrested at the 111 E. Linwood Blvd. location in late October for another theft. Prior to this incident, Home Depots in various states, including Oklahoma, Texas, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Iowa, and Missouri, had issued multiple trespassing notices against him.

According to court documents, Beach had committed thefts in Iowa, California, and Texas in 2024, 2021, and 2017, respectively.

Beach faced charges of burglary and theft as a consequence. On Friday, a warrant was issued, setting the conditions for a $25,000 bond, restraining him from entering any Home Depot location, and mandating GPS monitoring.

Beach is still in custody as of Sunday, Dec. 29, and there is no scheduled court appearance at this time. No additional information has been disclosed.
