Police officers conduct traffic stops for various reasons, ranging from minor infractions to serious offenses, each with a purpose. Recently, a Missouri woman, involved in multiple shootings, was arrested after attempting to evade a traffic stop while fleeing one of these incidents. She now faces numerous charges.

Attempt to Evade Made Matters Worse

  • 3 Facing Serious Charges

According to First Alert 4, 32-year-old Terricca T. Miller visited a gas station in St. Louis on November 28th. It marked her second trip to the location that day. During this visit, a shooting occurred, prompting Miller and others to flee in a blue truck. When officers attempted a traffic stop, she refused to pull over, initiating a high-speed chase.

As the pursuit unfolded, other occupants of the truck jumped out, sustaining injuries in the process. Miller, however, continued to flee, leading officers on a 45-minute chase that reached speeds of up to 100 MPH. During the pursuit, she narrowly avoided causing several car accidents before being apprehended.

A Troubled Timeline

The traffic stop wasn’t Miller’s first run-in with the law that week. Earlier on the same day, she had visited the same gas station to gamble on a slot machine. During this visit, someone reportedly stole an AR-15 she had placed nearby. Afterward, she assaulted a gas station employee, accusing them of failing to assist in recovering the weapon and allegedly threatening to kill them.

Adding to her string of offenses, eight days prior, Miller visited a friend’s house and was denied entry. In response, she retrieved a gun from her car and fired shots into the air, at the home, and at a nearby vehicle.

Facing Serious Charges

Miller is now charged with three counts of unlawful use of a weapon, fourth-degree assault, and aggravated fleeing from a stop. Her bond has been set at $200,000.
