In Posey County, an Illinois woman is in jail after Mt. Vernon Police said they found her with drugs.
Officers say 36-year-old Kelli Hale of Gallatin County was pulled over early Monday morning for a traffic violation.
Police say she continued to reach inside the car when they asked her to stop, so they instructed her to get out. That’s when officers say they discovered a smoking pipe on her.
Inside the car, police claim they discovered a scale, tablets, and three bags of powder containing meth and fentanyl.
Hale is facing several drug-related accusations.
