A New York City teenager who went missing was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man at the home of a New Jersey couple, according to officials. On Tuesday, authorities announced that the man and woman are now facing charges in connection with the case.
On Sunday, Feb. 23, the NYPD informed the Fort Lee Police Department regarding a missing child from New York City who was suspected to be in the Fort Lee area.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office reported that the Fort Lee police found a child, aged between 13 and 16, in the company of Marc Piovanetti, 58, and Jennifer Piovanetti, 50.
Marc, who was not known to the victim, initiated a conversation with the child on TurnUp, a social media application. They made plans to meet up, as confirmed by authorities.
During their investigation, detectives discovered that Jennifer was present at home during the incident and was fully aware of the child’s presence. Additionally, there was another child under the age of 13 present in the same residence.
After the investigation, Marc was arrested in Fort Lee on Sunday, Feb. 23. He is now facing several charges, including four counts of second-degree sexual assault, second-degree luring, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

The investigation is still ongoing.
