A Union County man who owns a restaurant in Newark is accused of drugging and raping a woman at the business.
Carlos Erazo-Caballero, of Elizabeth, has been charged with first-degree sexual assault.
At just 36 years old, Erazo-Caballero is the proud owner and manager of Stephanie’s Barbeque IV, conveniently located on North 6th Street, a stone’s throw away from Branch Brook Park.
According to Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, a woman was allegedly drugged and assaulted in October 2024.
