On New Year’s Day, search teams were actively combing the area in search of the missing 14-year-old from Patchogue.
For three weeks, the girl’s family, friends, neighbors, and a dedicated group of volunteers tirelessly searched for her.
Missing Teen Found On Boat
According to her father, Frank Gervasi, his daughter was abducted from their driveway in Suffolk County when she briefly stepped outside their home.
After almost a month of going missing, Emmarae was eventually located by her father aboard a boat.
“It was a harrowing 26-day ordeal,” her father shared with News 12 Long Island. “When I finally held her in my arms, it felt like a miraculous gift from God. Words cannot capture the overwhelming emotions I experienced,” he expressed.
Frank received a tip from a woman who informed him that his child was on a boat in Islip.
He burst into the boat and managed to locate his missing daughter.
One Person Arrested
According to PEOPLE, law enforcement arrested one individual in connection with the disappearance of the teenager.
