A man from New York has been sent to prison in Pennsylvania for violating firearms laws.
Ronald Billingsley has been sentenced to 50 months to 108 months in state prison by District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer. This comes after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of possessing a firearm without a license to carry. Additionally, Billingsley was charged with simple assault against an inmate at the McKean County Jail.
Billingsley found himself in hot water when the Bradford City Police intervened in a disturbance at an apartment building in Bradford. Being a convicted felon, he was well aware that possessing a firearm was strictly prohibited under Pennsylvania law. Consequently, charges were filed against him.
