A New York man has pleaded guilty to sending more than 1,000 threatening text messages to a Connecticut resident.

According to the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, Elijah Whyte, 30, sent 1,330 text messages, called 72 times, and left three voicemails for the victim.

They said that many of the messages threatened to kill and rape the victim and her children.

He also threatened the victim’s residence and hometown.

Whyte pleaded guilty and faces a maximum of two years in prison.

He’s been in custody since October 2023.
