A man in New York state carried out a bank robbery without much of a plan, according to police. He was spotted fleeing the scene but didn’t manage to get very far. Remarkably, the authorities were able to apprehend the suspect within minutes of the alleged robbery.

New York State Man Allegedly Robs Bank, Gets Arrested Only a Few Minutes Later
According to WNYT, a 49-year-old man from Watervliet reportedly entered the M&T Bank in Troy and demanded money. The suspect, who did not show a weapon, quickly fled the scene after taking “several hundred” dollars. However, the alleged bank robber’s escape was short-lived.
According to Troy Police, the man was apprehended a mere seven minutes later. As reported by WNYT, he was charged with robbery and grand larceny and subsequently sent to Rensselaer County Jail.
