The Brady City Council will meet in regular session at 6PM on June 15, 2021 at the Municipal Court building located at 207 S. Elm Street to consider the agenda items below.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

There will be two public hearings related to zoning requests:

Conduct public hearing to receive comments for/against a zoning change from Single Family Residential District to Manufactured Home District for property located at 901 Beck Ave., Brady, Texas in the Jendale Subdivision in Brady TX.

Conduct public hearing to receive comments for/against an amendment to allow a Community Event Center as a Specific Use Provision for property located at 505 N. Bridge St., within the Industrial District of the Fulcher Subdivision in Brady, Texas.

Following the public hearings, Council will consider the following action items -

  • 1.  Consideration and possible action regarding the second and final reading of Ordinance 1323 to amend FY2021 current budget for municipal purposes.
  • 2. Consideration and possible action regarding the first reading of Ordinance 1324 adopting a zoning change from Single Family Residential to Manufactured Home District as requested by Mark Penland for property located at 901 Beck Ave. in the Jendale Subdivision.
  • 3. Consideration and possible action regarding the first reading of Ordinance 1325 to allow a Community Event Center as a Specific Use Provision for property located at 505 N. Bridge St. within the Industrial District of the Fulcher Subdivision.
  • 4. Consideration and possible action to approve the purchase of a 2002 International 4700 Truck in the amount of $79,000 from Bassco Services, Inc., Dallas, Texas in the amount of $79,000.
  • 5. Consideration and possible action regarding approval of Resolution 2021-017 to enter into a finance contract with Government Capital Corporation in the amount of $79,000 for the purpose of procuring a 2002 International 4700 Truck with 3,000-gallon Jet A Refueler truck.
  • 6. Consideration and possible action on approving the purchase of 1,500 tons of Limestone Rock Asphalt, Type 1, Grade D (cold mix) road base material at $50.00 per ton or $75,000.00.  Delivery charge is approximately $0.1652 per Ton/Mile at 180 miles or $44,610.00. Total purchase w/delivery will be $119,610.00

Following the regular meeting, the Council will adjourn into Executive Session for the following:

Pursuant to Section 551.074 (Personnel Matters) City Council will meet to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee: City Manager Dennis Jobe, Police Chief Steve Thomas.
