The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Coleman and McCulloch counties in west central Texas until 7:45PM CDT.
At 4:44PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms in west central McCulloch County. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain are expected. Some locations that will experience flooding include - Brady, Coleman, Santa Anna, Melvin, Novice, Rockwood, Waldrip, Gouldbusk, Lohn, Trickham, Voss, Stacy, Pear Valley, Doole, Mercury, Leaday, Valera, Salt Gap, Placid and Rochelle. This storm is moving to the northeast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS - Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
