The San Angelo Symphony is coming to town!  Thursday July 22, will be the third week of a four-week music enrichment program for anyone entering 3rd grade and above at the McCulloch County Library Community Room.   With the support of the McCulloch County Library Association, the Heart of Texas Troubadours and friends will be using common household items and basic instruments to have fun, teach children to make a joyful noise, learn some history and culture of the music, and develop an interest in playing a variety of creative instruments.

The July 22 session will be from 10:30AM-12:00PM and feature Joe Weaver from the San Anglo Symphony presenting Cowboy Music and Kyle Moseley presenting the pedal steel guitar.  Looking ahead, the July 29 session will feature Ellen Myer, also with the San Angelo Symphony, to read and perform the Best Mariachi in the World.  Sheila Van Zant will teach line dancing.  Each of these two sessions are open to anyone entering the 3rd grade or above and includes parents, grandparents, students, friends, and those who enjoy a good musical show.

All instruments and materials will be available.  Students do not need to bring anything.  Parents are invited to sit in on these sessions and participate in the activities.

Call the Library at 325-597-2617 for more information and to register.  There is no charge for the program.
