The McCulloch County Sheriffs Office made a number of arrests in the past few days of migrants (4 on Friday night and four more on Monday morning) as a result of traffic stops. All were detained for the Border Patrol and confirmed to be illegally in the US and were taken into custody.
The second arrest on Monday resulted in the driver of the vehicle being charged with human trafficking. No local charges were filed on the others. Custody of the individuals involved was transferred to the Border Patrol.
Sheriff Andrews advises everyone to be mindful of their property and vehicles and to report any suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s Office.
