A Wind Advisory will be in effect From 9PM this evening (Friday, Jan. 14) TO 6PM Saturday. North winds are expected to be 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph in the majority of west central Texas from 9PM this evening to 6PM CST Saturday.

Also, the strong winds will be mainly after midnight across the Northern Edwards Plateau and Northwest Hill Country. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS  - A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 to 39 mph with higher gusts are occurring or expected. Winds this strong can knock down tree limbs and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Secure loose outdoor objects.
