She met Miers Johnson at a horse sale and made an instant connection.  They were married in 1988 in Brady.  She was a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America and the American Paint Horse Association.  She was very active in the McCulloch County Helping Hands organization.  She served on the board for several years and also served as President.  She was always ready to help those in need.  Christmas was her favorite time of year.  She has lived in the Brady area since 1986.  She was an active member of the Rochelle Baptist Church.
