Forrest was born on April 24, 1952 in Sweetwater, Texas to James and Cleo Cordelia (Clevenger) Ramsey. He moved here in the 60's when he was in Junior High. He married Georgia Sue Hill on January 8, 1979 in Brady, and they shared 42 years in life, love and laughter. He loved hunting, fishing and playing guitar.
Forrest was a hard worker, and started his early adulthood by serving for 13 years in the Army National Guard, where he was a tank driver. After that, he worked for Premier Silica, where he received numerous certificates and awards for his over 40 years of service. He was a member of the Heart of Texas Muzzle Loaders.
Above all else, Forrest loved his family dearly, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Forrest was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Ron Lamb.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Georgia Ramsey; son, Robert Craig Ramsey and wife Sylvia; two daughters, Heather Marie Dotson and husband Kevin, and Kira Brown and husband Conor; brother, David Ramsey and wife Marianne; sister, Delia Lamb; ten grandchildren, Wesley Otte, Charlie Otte, Bryan Otte, Annarea Dotson, Kyla Hipp, Jonathan Dotson, Kathleen Dotson, Julia Dotson, Cheyenne Hayles and David Brown; and several extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady with Virgil Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Heart of Texas Hope House, 1303 N. Walnut, Brady, Texas 76825.
