A fugitive with outstanding charges in Ohio was arrested in Texas following a high-speed chase, according to the United States Border Patrol Del Rio Sector.
The incident began when Brackettville Station officials attempted to pull over a suspicious car for an immigration examination in a known smuggling zone.
The driver, who had outstanding warrants for domestic violence and failure to appear, tried to flee by driving recklessly at high speeds.
The vehicle wrecked shortly thereafter, and the occupants attempted to flee on foot. According to the US Border Patrol Del Rio Sector, agents tracked down and captured the suspects with the assistance of the Texas National Guard.
