Each year, millions of people fall victim to car theft. In some cases, individual owners are targeted, while in others, thieves may even strike at car showrooms. A recent incident involved a woman whose vehicle was stolen by someone posing as a tow truck driver, though there is no evidence of it being legitimately towed.

Car theft is a massive problem, and it often leaves people with no recourse

Many individuals do not anticipate falling prey to car theft, yet conscientious car owners take measures to avoid such incidents. As reported by Cleveland 19, Brittany Ealey experienced the disappearance of her 2015 Nissan Rogue on the morning of March 7th. She mentioned that an unmarked tow truck was responsible for taking away her midsize SUV. It appears that the incident occurred while she was at work on Delavan Avenue, situated on the east side of Cleveland. As over a week has passed since the theft, she remains clueless about the whereabouts of her vehicle.

After the suspected car theft, Brittany shared her thoughts with the media, saying, “I’m not entirely sure if it’s a company vehicle. It appears to be a private one.”

Brittany suspects that the disappearance of her SUV may be due to car theft since the vehicle is not scheduled for repossession and there are no towing records from any companies. Despite filing a police report, there have been no significant leads in the case. She expressed her frustration by stating, “I don’t care if they leave it on the corner somewhere. I would like my vehicle back.” It is worth mentioning that Brittany has grainy footage of the car being taken away. The Cleveland police are urging anyone with information about the missing Nissan Rogue to come forward and provide tips.
