On Monday, March 24, 2025, at around 3:11 p.m., a fatal injury collision happened between a car and two electric scooters (stand-up). According to evidence at the scene, witness accounts, and security video, a 2017 Toyota Corolla was driving eastbound on Warm Springs Road at the Torrey Pines Drive intersection. Two electric scooters were riding southbound on Torrey Pines Drive, on the left of two travel lanes at the intersection of Warm Springs Road. When all parties entered the junction, the first electric scooter collided with the Toyota’s left front wheel. The second scooter rider crashed into the left rear fender.
Emergency Medical Services and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrived to the scene. They took both scooter riders to the University Medical Center Trauma Center. Despite all efforts to save his life, the 22-year-old rider died from his injuries. The young rider remains in critical condition at UMC. The driver of the Toyota remained at the site and showed no symptoms of impairment.
The scooter rider’s death is the 39th traffic fatality in LVMPD jurisdiction for 2025. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s crash Investigation Section is still investigating this crash.
