In Houston, two suspects were arrested on Feb. 20 following a traffic stop. The authorities also seized illegal drugs, stolen firearms, and a total of over $54,000 in cash.
A sergeant from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 initiated a traffic stop in the 14700 block of Woodland Hills Drive due to detecting the scent of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Upon conducting a thorough search, deputies discovered various prescription medications, namely Carisoprodol, Alprazolam, and Hydrocodone.
Larry Wiley, the driver, who had previously been charged with drug offenses and was currently on parole, was apprehended along with his passenger, Markesha Ross. Following their arrest, a thorough search of their residence located at the 12100 block of Drummond Maple Drive revealed a significant quantity of additional illegal substances. These included Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, and Alprazolam, along with marijuana. Furthermore, a substantial amount of $19,726 in cash was also seized during the operation.
During their search, the deputies discovered three stolen firearms, with one of them being taken from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Both Wiley and Ross are facing various charges connected to drug possession and distribution. The details regarding their bond have not yet been disclosed.
