Jamie Lynn Russell, 44, of Dawson, Pennsylvania, was arrested on Friday, April 19, 2025, when Sulphur Springs cops discovered suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her vehicle during a traffic stop.
According to the arrest affidavit, Russell’s vehicle was stopped on Interstate 30 Eastbound near Mile Marker 127 at 12:57 PM for expired registration. Officer E. Jaime of the SSPD contacted Russell and conducted a probable cause search of the red Chevrolet Malibu after noticing discrepancies in Russell’s behavior.
During the search, officers located two transparent plastic baggies containing a white crystal material beneath the front passenger seat. Field testing revealed that the drug was methamphetamine, with a total combined weight of around 3.25 grams, including packaging. Additional drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle.
Russell was arrested, handcuffed, and transferred to the Hopkins County Jail without incident. She is now facing charges of:
- Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B <1G >=4G (F3)
This matter is still active, pending future legal action. As always, all suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
