Apparently, a Pennsylvania man chose to drive recklessly in a stolen SUV loaded with drugs. Instead of surrendering, he drove into a police car while attempting to flee. But he was apprehended after authorities discovered heroin, cocaine, fentanyl, and a stolen gun.
Pennsylvania man rams police car with stolen SUV full of drugs
Good luck to Timothy Terry Jr., 26, who faces 23 criminal accusations, including aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, and multiple counts of drug possession with intent to deliver.
Terry was originally recognized by Allegheny County Police detectives outside a Dollar General in Penn Hills. He entered a black SUV that Enterprise Rent-A-Car had reported stolen from Pittsburgh International Airport the day before.
According to Trib Live, he went to the supermarket and bought baking soda, which is commonly used as a drug-cutting agent. As police officers turned on their lights to stop Terry, he chose to flee.
He reversed the stolen SUV and hit a police cruiser twice. Then he accelerated, smashing through the front window of the business. I don’t think that was deliberate, considering that’s a bad escape move.
Terry was taken from the SUV and tasered, but he still managed to flee. Officers finally apprehended him. Inside the SUV, they discovered three bricks of heroin and fentanyl, five bundles of heroin and fentanyl, five bags of cocaine, and marijuana.
He also had a loaded .40 caliber handgun that was reported stolen, along with a Glock switch that enabled it to be used as an automatic weapon.
