On Sunday, June 1, at 12:45 p.m., Wesley Garcia, 18, and Kirvin De La Rosa, 19, stopped a woman walking her dog on Willow Street, according to Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II and Montclair Police Chief Todd M. Conforti.
Garcia, De La Rosa, and a third suspect, all wearing ski masks, demanded the woman’s jewelry at gunpoint, according to authorities. Authorities stated the suspects were driving a stolen Acura TLX, which was eventually found in Jersey City that day.
Garcia and De La Rosa are charged with robbery, conspiracy to conduct armed robbery, unauthorized possession of a weapon, receiving stolen items, and evading law enforcement, according to authorities. Authorities said the third suspect is still at large.
