Two Memphis people were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the abduction of an Alabama man who had been missing since December, according to authorities.
Memphis Police apprehended 32-year-old Quintarius White and 27-year-old Kierra Clark on Tuesday, April 8, with the help of the US Marshals and the Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension Team, nearly four months after Ronald Dumas Jr. disappeared. They were apprehended along Danville Road in Parkway Village.
In February, authorities focused their hunt for Dumas on a 450-acre area south of Memphis and extending into North Mississippi. Phone data reveal that Dumas drove west on I-40 toward Memphis before turning off his phone in December 2024. Someone found his abandoned automobile on an interstate near Jackson, Tennessee.
Huntsville Police said surveillance film captured Dumas exiting a liquor store with two ladies on December 15.
According to Memphis Police, White was charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, robbery, trafficking for a commercial sex act, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated assault—acting in concert. Clark was charged with aggravated kidnapping, particularly aggravated kidnapping, trafficking for a commercial sex act, assault resulting in bodily harm, aggravated burglary, and aggravated assault acting in concert.
FOX13 investigations revealed that White has a history of kidnapping. In May 2023, White was charged with many counts of kidnapping, trafficking for a commercial sex act, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping, robbery, and felon in possession of a handgun. White has been released on a $5,000 bond ever since.
The charges are also recognizable to Clark. In June 2023, authorities charged Clark with numerous counts of kidnapping, trafficking for commercial sex acts, aggravated assault, assault, and aggravated burglary. Clark posted an $80,000 bond and has been out ever since.
Three individuals were arrested for allegedly assisting White and Clark. Dedrick Woodard, 26, Cassy Feathers, 43, and Jasmine Braden, 28, were charged with accessory after the fact: harboring.
In connection with Dumas’ abduction, authorities are still looking for three more people, including two from Memphis. They are:
- Toure Laron McLaurin, 33, of Memphis, for first-degree kidnapping
- Carissa Cash, 33, of Memphis, for first-degree receiving stolen property
- Sabrina Rochelle Chambers, 27, of Huntsville, Ala., for first-degree kidnapping
