A 19-year-old suspect was taken into custody on Thursday following a shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of four individuals. The victims were discovered inside a Lancaster residence that had caught fire.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the authorities have identified the suspect as 19-year-old Miguel Sandoval.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m. on November 16, deputies were called to a shooting at a residence located on the 44500 block of Tabler Avenue. It was reported that a party was taking place at the home at the time of the tragic incident.

Authorities have identified the individuals involved in the incident as Edwin Garcia, Christine Aca-ac, Matthew Montebello, and Janvi Maquindang. These young adults in their 20s were involved in the situation. Fortunately, a 16-year-old girl who was also present at the scene remained unharmed.

Authorities were called for help after she was found hiding in her room.

The suspected gunman managed to escape from the scene, but authorities were able to locate and apprehend him several hours later. The details surrounding the incident, including the events that preceded the tragic shooting and house fire, are still not fully understood.

According to the LASD, they believe that this incident was isolated. They are actively investigating the case and are not providing any further details in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation.

The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office will consider filing the case on November 25.

If you have any information regarding the incident, please contact the LASD’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Alternatively, you can provide anonymous tips to L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at lacrimestoppers.org.
