The body of a missing D.C. woman was discovered at her boyfriend’s Capitol Heights, Maryland house after authorities claimed he killed her and hid the body.
Officials from the Prince George’s Police Department (PGPD) have revealed that 29-year-old Alexis Schuler was reported missing to D.C. police just last week. During the investigation into her disappearance, detectives discovered information that led them to the residence of 30-year-old Devontae Gray.
Officials from the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) conducted a search warrant at Gray’s residence on January 19. During the search, detectives discovered the remains of Schuler inside Gray’s apartment.
Gray went to great lengths to conceal Schuler’s body within his apartment, according to detectives.
According to officials, Schuler’s cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Gray was apprehended by the police right at the crime scene and admitted to the killing of Schuler. He now faces charges of first-degree murder and additional offenses.
