Police: Former North Texas Car Dealership Employee Kills Two Co-workers And Wounded Another

Two people have been killed and one injured in a shooting at a business on Mansfield Highway in Forest Hill, Texas, according to the Forest Hill Police Department. The incident occurred on February 21, 2025, at around 3:30 p.m.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered three individuals who had been shot. Despite the efforts of the Forest Hill Fire Department and MedStar Ambulance personnel, two of the victims were pronounced dead at the hospital. The identities of the deceased individuals are pending confirmation by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. The third victim is currently hospitalized in serious condition.

The shooter has been identified as Rafael Arreguin, a former employee. He was apprehended in Fort Worth without incident and has been charged with murder. Arreguin is currently being held at the Everman/Forest Hill Regional Jail. The Forest Hill Police Department has stated that the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.

The Forest Hill Police Department expressed their gratitude to the Texas Rangers, Everman Police Department, Fort Worth Police Department, Kennedale Police Department, and Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this case. They also extended their thanks to community members who provided tips. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Forest Hill Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
