Elkhart County authorities are looking for James Tackett, a 5-foot-8, 190-pound white male with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Tackett is wanted on June 18, 2025, for violating probation by trafficking a controlled substance to an inmate. He is also wanted for burglary charges.
Anyone with information on Tackett’s whereabouts should contact Elkhart County law enforcement or Michiana Crime Stoppers.
Officials warn that Tackett is dangerous and urge the public not to approach him.
