A shooting at a Thanksgiving gathering in southeast Oklahoma City early this morning led to one fatality.
Local police responded to a call just after 2 a.m. at a residence on Southeast 44th Street and South Sunnylane Road, where they found a person suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Oklahoma City Police Department reported that the shooting occurred during a gathering at the home. KOCO revealed that the altercation began when a group of individuals arrived at the family event, resulting in a confrontation.
The victim, one of the individuals arriving at the house, was shot multiple times.
Investigations are ongoing, but police are facing challenges as witnesses from the scene are reportedly not cooperating.
No information on suspects has been released, and no arrests have been made.
Despite the lack of witness cooperation, authorities have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to community safety.
