Police say a 62-year-old woman who was found dead in a dumpster has been ruled a homicide.
Officers responded to the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue in Northeast D.C. at approximately 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19. They discovered an adult woman within a dumpster. DC The woman was pronounced deceased by firefighters and emergency medical personnel.
The chief medical examiner determined that the causes of death were blunt force trauma and asphyxiation. The death has been declared a homicide.
The victim has been identified as Donella Bryan, 62, of Northeast D.C.
What’s next: The investigation is now ongoing.
