Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested a man on his second driving while intoxicated charge after a traffic check on Tuesday. The stop occurred in the 7800 block of N Sam Houston Parkway W and involved Alejandro Ixcolestacuy, who was intoxicated, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4.

Deputies from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests to Alejandro Ixcolestacuy, confirming their concerns of impairment. A background check revealed a past conviction for driving while intoxicated as well as an active misdemeanor warrant for the same violation. “Alejandro Ixcolestacuy was detained, lodged into the Harris County Jail on an open warrant, and charged with driving while intoxicated. His bond was set at $500.00 out of County Court 15, according to the Constable’s office.

According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Facebook page, the Constable’s Office encourages the community to stay up to current on local crime, arrests, and safety. They’ve established a smartphone app called “C4 NOW” and are posting live alerts on Facebook about crime and traffic issues. A recent post revealed Ixcolestacuy’s arrest for driving under the influence, which serves as a warning of the dangers of impaired driving.
