Severe weather is forecast to hit Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, Georgia, and Alabama beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025. The National Weather Service has issued a warning about potentially dangerous circumstances, such as strong gusts and huge hail.

The National Weather Service predicts that the areas with the highest risk of hail and winds will include Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and sections of Missouri and Alabama, including cities like Little Rock, Memphis, and Birmingham. The threat will likely persist throughout the afternoon and evening, with conditions increasing as storms form.

The National Storm Prediction Center has designated these areas as having a “slight risk” for severe storms. Localized high winds might reach 60 mph (ca. 97 km/h), and hail with a diameter of one inch or more is also likely.

Residents are encouraged to remain weather-aware throughout the day, with specific attention paid to any severe thunderstorm warnings. The severe weather is expected to subside late Thursday night.
