The Latest: The snowfall is predicted to start at noon on Tuesday, creating potentially hazardous conditions for the evening commute. This wintry weather is expected to persist into Wednesday morning, making for a messy start to the day. Once the snow stops, the region can anticipate another round of wintry precipitation in the form of cold rain and sleet.
Prince George’s County Public Schools, Loudoun County Public Schools, and schools in Frederick, Md. have all decided to dismiss students early due to the forecasted weather. Prince George’s County Public Schools will dismiss students two hours early, while Loudoun County Public Schools and schools in Frederick, Md. will dismiss students three and three-and-a-half hours early, respectively. These early dismissals are scheduled for Tuesday, February 11th, with the possibility of more to come.
