The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for South Jersey and all of Delaware starting Tuesday afternoon and lasting until Wednesday afternoon.
Snow will be starting late Tuesday and continuing overnight into Wednesday morning as a storm develops over the Deep South. The precipitation will begin in Delaware and New Jersey before spreading northward.
What areas will get the most snow?
The forecast predicts that the heaviest snowfall will occur in Delaware and southern New Jersey, particularly near the shore. In these areas, it is anticipated that 4 to 6 inches of snow will accumulate. Moving closer to Philadelphia and the I-95 corridor, we can expect 2 to 3 inches of snow, while across the Lehigh Valley, 1 to 2 inches are forecasted.

Traveling on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning could be dangerous, particularly in areas south and east of Philadelphia. The snow is expected to diminish by early Wednesday afternoon, with a majority of the snow that accumulates on the ground being washed away by cold rain later on Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
