TULSA, Okla. – A federal judge has sentenced a St. Louis man convicted of possessing 15 pounds of cocaine in Oklahoma with the intent to distribute it.

On Tuesday, Terrall Lamar Johnson, 33, received a 10-year sentence for the federal charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. He was also ordered to serve five years of supervised release.

Court documents reveal that in July 2023, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers stopped Johnson on U.S. Highway 69 near Big Cabin. After Johnson consented to a vehicle search, troopers discovered six bundles of suspected drugs. The investigation later confirmed that the six bundles weighed 15.3 pounds and tested positive for cocaine.

Johnson will remain in custody until his transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, as confirmed by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Medical studies indicate that even 1.2 grams of cocaine can be fatal, meaning the 15.3 pounds seized—equivalent to nearly 7,000 grams—could result in a significant overdose risk.
