On July 1, Oregon’s minimum wage will increase as part of the yearly schedule that was established in 2016.

The statewide hike for 2024 has been raised by 50 cents.

Despite the changes, Oregon will retain its current system of having three distinct minimum wages. These include a standard wage, a higher wage for the Portland Metro region, and a lower wage for counties that are not urbanized.

The hourly wage for counties located outside of the urban growth boundary, such as Jackson and Josephine, will increase from $14.20 to $14.70 per hour.

In counties such as Coos, Curry, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake, where urbanization is relatively low, the minimum wage will increase from $13.20 to $13.70 per hour.
