A 17-year-old boy has been charged by Pennsylvania State Police for making threats on social media against Greater Latrobe Junior High School and two students, according to authorities.
According to troopers, there were threats directed at two female students, ages 15 and 16, as well as the school, which were posted in a Snapchat group message.
State police initiated an investigation after a school resource officer reported the threats.
The boy faced charges as a juvenile for making terroristic threats.
The State Police have reassured that there are currently no safety concerns for the school or its students.
Authorities praised the quick reporting, which prevented any potential danger.
