In Cypress, Texas, a heartbreaking discovery was made on Saturday morning. The lifeless body of a 17-year-old boy was found in the backyard of a home.
Deputies from the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office responded to a report of a body discovered in the backyard of a residence on Galleon Fields Dr. in Cypress at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Around 11 p.m. the previous night, residents in the area reported hearing gunshots, prompting an investigation by deputies. Upon arrival, deputies did not observe any suspicious activity.
Giovani Cruz, the teenager who was tragically shot, sustained a gunshot wound to his chest.
