Joseph Reynaldo Olivarri, a fugitive on Texas’ Ten Most Wanted list, was apprehended in San Antonio on March 6, 2025. Olivarri, a member of the Texas Mexican Mafia, was caught by a multi-agency task group.
Olivarri, 38, of San Antonio, Texas, was wanted for various violations, including unauthorized carrying of a weapon with a felony conviction and parole violation, according to a news statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
He has a prior conviction for assault on a family or household member, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a prohibited substance or object in a penal facility.
The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force worked with DPS Special Agents, TDCJ-OIG, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, and DHS ICE in the investigation that led to Olivarri’s arrest. He was arrested in Bexar County on February 16, 2025, for unauthorized possession of a weapon with a felony conviction and freed on bond the same day. Shortly later, he allegedly removed his GPS monitor, triggering a warrant for his arrest on February 17, 2025, for parole violations. On February 20, 2025, further warrants were issued for unauthorized carrying of a weapon with a criminal conviction and a violation of conditional release.
According to the source, Olivarri’s apprehension was not the result of a tip submitted through Texas Crime Stoppers.
