Attorney General Ken Paxton has responded to reports of the Biden Administration engaging in the illegal sale of sections of the border wall at the United States-Mexico border.

According to recent reports, there have been suggestions that the Biden Administration is planning to auction off sections of the border wall at a significantly reduced cost. It is claimed that the government is even listing entire wall panel sections for sale, starting with a minimum bid of just $5.

In May 2024, Attorney General Paxton achieved a significant triumph in compelling the Biden Administration to allocate funds, as required by law, for the construction of the border wall, despite the federal government’s unlawful attempt to redirect the funds.

If the wall sections currently being sold were initially acquired using these funds designated for border security, then the Biden Administration would be in direct violation of the federal court order. President-Elect Donald Trump has urgently called upon the outgoing government to immediately cease the sale of any materials. In response, Attorney General Paxton has taken action by filing a motion with the court, seeking to intervene and prevent the illegal sale of any sections of the wall.

Attorney General Paxton expressed concern over reports suggesting that the Biden Administration plans to auction off sections of the border wall. He emphasized that if these reports are true, it would be a violation of a federal court order.

To address this issue, Texas is taking legal action to prevent the unlawful sale of border security materials and to uncover the truth behind any attempts by the federal government to undermine border wall construction. Attorney General Paxton highlighted the strong mandate President Trump received from the American people to build the wall and pledged to use his authority to prevent any acts of sabotage by the outgoing administration.
