Alexis Nungaray, the mother of Jocelyn Nungaray, and Kelvin Alvarenga, Jocelyn’s grandfather, along with Harris County, Texas D.A. Kim Ogg, came together to share their heartbreaking experience of discovering Jocelyn’s murder, which was committed by illegal migrants. They are determined to seek the death penalty for the suspects involved in this tragic incident.

Outgoing Harris County, Texas District Attorney Kim Ogg has a clear message for migrant criminals who break the law: You cannot escape justice.

Ogg plans to pursue the death penalty for the suspects.

The district attorney’s office has announced that it will pursue the death penalty for the illegal immigrants involved in the Nungaray murder case.

In a recent interview with “Fox & Friends” co-host Lawrence Jones, she emphasized that in this county and state, one cannot escape from a heinous crime like this and expect to evade justice. She firmly stated that everyone will be treated fairly, regardless of their background, and that no one is exempt from the law.

ICE stated that the two migrants from Venezuela entered the U.S. illegally, which District Attorney Ogg referred to as their “first crime.”

“These murderers committed their crime by crossing the border,” she stated. “They were unfortunately released after they had been caught.”

Jocelyn’s mother, Alexis Nungaray, has consistently held the Biden-Harris administration’s border policies responsible for creating the circumstances that led to the occurrence of the crime. She has even appeared alongside President-elect Donald Trump during his campaign and addressed the House Homeland Security Committee, shedding light on the consequences of illegal immigrant crime on American citizens.

Devastated by the loss of Jocelyn, she expressed to Jones that this issue transcends political divisions. It is not a matter of being on the red or blue side, but rather a matter of recognizing and upholding the inherent value of every human being.

“I will always maintain my unwavering support for immigration, as I have done in the past and will continue to do so in the future. However, it is important to acknowledge that there are specific policies and procedures in place for a reason,” she expressed.

Jones had a conversation with Kelvin Alvarenga, Jocelyn’s grandfather.

“It’s a heartbreaking reality to think that these individuals, coming from a Latino background like myself, possess the capacity, both emotionally and mentally, to commit such a heinous act,” he expressed. “I have always maintained that my granddaughter was not their initial victim. However, I fervently hope that she will be their final one. Let us also keep in mind the hope that no other families will have to endure this excruciating pain,” he concluded.

After reviewing the horrifying evidence and consulting with Nungaray’s family, Ogg made the decision to seek the death penalty.

“We believe that individuals who commit such heinous acts against children should be treated no differently than anyone else in this country who commits such crimes. In Texas, the punishment for such a crime is death, and based on the evidence, we firmly believe that they deserve this penalty.”
