Kenneth Wayne Trammell, a fugitive who was on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted list, was captured in Houston on February 7, 2025.
The arrest was made by DPS Special Agents from the Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) Violent Crimes Unit, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety press release.
Trammell, a 50-year-old from Texas, was wanted for aggravated sexual assault on a child. His criminal record includes a 1995 conviction for indecency with a child via contact, which resulted in a five-year sentence, as well as repeated convictions for failing to comply with sex offender registration rules, which resulted in further prison time.
In September 2024, a warrant for his arrest was issued by Kendall County. Despite being on the most wanted list, Trammell’s capture was not the result of a tip from Texas Crime Stoppers; thus, no reward would be granted, according to the source.
