Texas Truck Driver Allegedly Tries To Run A Couple’s Cybertruck Off The Road Because He Really Hates Them

The Tesla Cybertruck elicits two distinct reactions: admiration for its cutting-edge technology and unconventional design, or intense dislike stemming from personal feelings towards Elon Musk. Even for those who dislike electric vehicles, the majority simply dismiss it with a scoff, a roll of the eyes, or a shake of the head.

In a shocking incident, a man from Texas went to extreme lengths to express his dislike for Cybertrucks by attempting to run a couple off the road. The terrifying encounter was captured on Eric Corbett’s on-board cameras when a blue Ram pickup suddenly accelerated from behind and dangerously veered close to the driver’s side door of the Cybertruck.

Corbett swiftly realized that the driver was attempting to force them off the bustling highway. The couple made multiple attempts to escape or maneuver around the truck, but the driver thwarted their efforts by abruptly slamming on the brakes or closely tailgating their car.

The Tesla owner witnessed the driver maneuvering over multiple curbs in an attempt to obstruct the Cybertruck’s escape. The driver even went as far as gesturing obscenely from inside their vehicle. Despite the owner’s attempt to lure the driver off the freeway, the truck managed to locate them.

The driver of the Ram eventually decided to abandon the pursuit and was observed exiting the freeway and waiting in a turn lane. The Cybertruck pulled up alongside the Ram to continue on its path, and the driver of the Ram stepped out of their vehicle. Corbett braced themselves for the worst, but instead, the driver approached the window and gestured offensively before driving off.

Fortunately, all individuals made it back to their homes without any harm, although the outcome could have been far more severe. In Houston, the absence of road rage-related criminal charges does not diminish the presence of laws against reckless driving and aggravated assault.

If the police catch him after this footage was released, he could face a significant $10,000 fine and a prison sentence ranging from two to 20 years.

A Texan shared that they have experienced a similar situation.

“People are crazy today, I had someone try to run me off the road because I passed them in the right lane. I was in late at night they were in the left lane, I had my cruise set at 77 (Speed Limit was 75) and I was in the right lane and passed them,” they wrote.

“They sped up and cut me off and started brake-checking me and tried to force me off the road. I made a couple of quick maneuvers and drove around them and accelerated past them.”

Someone couldn’t resist the chance to poke fun at the Cybertruck.

“Potentially the first recorded example of a road rage incident involving a Cybertruck that wasn’t the Cybertruck driver’s fault,” they wrote.

The driver would be checked soon enough, another individual mentioned.

“Remember folks, there’s always someone crazier than you,” they said. “He will meet that person one day.”
