Approximately 12,000 suspected fentanyl pills have been taken off the streets after an early morning arrest on Tuesday.
Gluckstadt Police detained Kenderius Bess during a traffic stop on Old Jackson Road near Church Road.
Officers found the pills during the stop. Bess is currently being accused of trafficking controlled substances, careless driving, and illegal window tint violation.
Gluckstadt Municipal Court granted him a $1 million bond.
“I’m very proud of the officers here at the Gluckstadt Police Department for the hard work and dedication that each one of them puts in daily to keep our community,” Chief Barry Hale said. “Removing such a large quantity of suspected fentanyl from our streets is a major accomplishment.”
